The time has come to say goodbye
To the symbol of our holiday delight
A tree adorned with tinsel and light
A cherished sight now fading from sight
The ornaments, one by one, we remove
Memories flood back, our hearts imbued
With joy and laughter shared anew
As we pack them away, our hearts feel subdued

Putting away the Christmas tree
End of a season, bittersweet release
Another year has come and gone
But memories still linger on and on…

The lights flicker one last time
As we unplug them, the end of the line

As we disassemble, the end of it all
A familiar ritual, a solemn call
As we bid farewell to the Yuletide ball
